Morning Update from Julie's Brother

Good morning everyone! Julie is still resting this morning. She had a really good night. All levels are great, her swelling has gone way down, and she has some lovely color in her face! She is not going into surgery today. They have decided to do the major left leg surgery tomorrow. This will be a 12-15 hr. surgery depending on how stable she is. They hope to repair both the upper, lower and knee injuries. Today she will rest and they are trying to wean her off the breathing tube a bit today. The desire is for her to come off the tube by next Thursday. If she doesn't come off by then she will have to have a tracheotomy . After two weeks of a breathing tube there is high risk of pneumonia. The Doctors are really positive about how Julie has responded to everything and feel she will be off of the tube by when she needs to be. The optometrist came by this morning and says her eyes look great! Thank you again for the day by day support and prayers. Most moments we feel overwhelmed and completely surrounded by the goodness of God through you!

Specific prayer requests:

1. Julie's surgery tomorrow
2. Mike is still recovering from his injuries, including some difficulty breathing. He is also trying to absorb what is happening with Julie and the long-term implications.
3. Julie's parents. They need physical and emotional strength as they have been with her constantly.
